Location: Ho Chi Minh City , Vietnam
Target Audience: Canadian companies supplying medical devices and providing services for the healthcare industry.
Sector: Life Sciences
Join the Trade Commissioner Service on the Canadian med-tech mission to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – the third largest healthcare market in Southeast Asia where demands of medical devices are on the rise. Nearly 95% of medical devices are imported, mostly from foreign countries such as Japan, Germany, U.S., China and Singapore, accounting for more than 50% of total import values. Now with favorable regulations for medical devices from G7 countries, Vietnamese distributors are diversifying their portfolio by sourcing products from G7 countries, including Canada. Given that the country relies so heavily on imported devices the government tries to limit trade barriers with low import tax rates and no quota restrictions.
The mission will allow you to gain market insights as well as establish business relationships through market briefings, meetings with potential local partners and site visits to key hospitals and industry players.
There are other related events in the region, including the Medical Fair Thailand 2019 (September 11-13 in Bangkok) and Pharmed & Healthcare Vietnam 2019 (September 11-14 in Ho Chi Minh City). Delegates who would like to consider these related events and/or need help with meetings facilitation in Vietnam prior to or after the mission in Ho Chi Minh City, please contact Ms. Kim Long Nguyen.
